School Challenge
Power to the Purple for youth mental health will be held on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012. D.I.F.D. encourages students to wear purple to show their support for youth mental health. By participating in Power to the Purple, students will be inspired to talk about mental health without fear of judgment; assist in breaking down the stigma that has prevented those from seeking help in the past; and help to transform youth mental health by raising vital funds for research, care and suicide prevention. Take the Power to the Purple School Challenge and compete to be the top Power to the Purple youth mental health ambassador(s).
By standing up and fundraising for D.I.F.D. throughout the month of February 2012, Power to the Purple will remind individuals of the importance of talking about mental health and reaching out for help when they need it. In an effort to breakdown stigma the business community is encouraged to take the Challenge by starting conversations about mental health with each other, their family and their friends. Host an anti-stigma event in your workplace. Raise funds online. Take the Power to the Purple Corporate Challenge and compete to be the top Power to the Purple fundraising business or organization.
